That is a PAINTING!
Look at that CEILING!
Look at those COLOURS!
Lovelovelovelove it.
I was all ready to post (pre Brexit ranting, raging and weeping) some of my decorative flourishes in the dining room-below-over the waxed grey walls and achieved by transferring the ghost of a traditional French damask(damas) stencil motif then hand painting in white and grey.
Then I got upset, then I thought… to hell with it all. I’m still standing.
The shape of the panels at each side were influenced by my French pelmet- so both authentic and effective I believe…
I am in love with that painting.

Just about getting over my wobble.
Still apprehensive, but will see what pans out over next few months

What a brilliant idea I have been thinking about what I could do with a bedroom wall, wonderful thank you. The French rooms are gorgeous, the colours wow. I agree with you no matter what we are still standing

Well the painting is, of course pure filth 😉 Your resultant work is stunning …. really fabulous – you are extemely talented and we are now really beginning to see just how talented, I think. As for making us yawn … those that don’t want the detail will skim through and those that are really interested will stay with you. I suggest you give a teeny precis at the top for the yawners and a warning that there is a detailed explanation to follow for the die-hards. I for one am really looking forward to it 🙂

I second interest in the details!
I don’t quite get the second picture–which part is a painting? the whole thing?

Gorgeous! Both your inspirations and final product. One day I’d love to hear a step by step explanation of such a “ghost” transfer. Beautiful result.
