EU referendum – what now?

In shock; not so much at my fellow British voters who have seemingly not grasped what 52% of them have just done, but at the ramifications of this vote both personally and globally. Blog- sur- Aude may not post for some time.

    Don’t get me started ….

    It’s bad beyond words.

  3. We are gutted here Gill – such sad news. A terrible decision, divisive and based on erroneous prejudices, which leads to an uncertain future in an uncertain world. Can’t believe people fell for the “Leave” campaign – so backward and negative looking. We have been drowning our sorrows tonight and trying to console our daughter living in London. Both her flatmates are from Europe and like many of her London friends are planning to get out as soon as they can. Our daughter (who has Australian and British passports) is considering her options. She certainly doesn’t want to stay in the current climate. Sad times 😦

Keep posting. Warts and all, right? Yeah, it’s bad. We’re all going to take a huge financial hit. For British expats, it’s worse. Good luck to you guys. It’s not going to be pretty.

The stupid, selfish, spoiled ones make the messes and the adults are supposed to clean up, fix up after them. Of course when things go wrong (or get worse) they’ll be angrier: who will they blame then?
From my distance I had been worried about Le Pen and his/her ilk, then this comes along.
Can no one find some good English witches to start putting curses on people? (nothing terminal, just very unpleasant and long lasting. And noticeable…perhaps something that made people have to scratch themselves continually in a certain area…and which NIH couldn’t treat….
(I use creative visualisations to express my anger; relieves stress and leads to funny images of people I especially dislike…try it…)
Hang in there, the house in Campagne isn’t going anywhere….you, and others will be creative in this new challenge as you have in others.

Gill, it’s a disaster. But we will get through this. We just need to let the nutters settle down for a bit and then we can survey the real damage
