The Thursday Three- Mirror Man Mirror Me…

Antique mirror“All things that pass are wisdom’s looking-glass” Christina Rossetti

I like that… and I like mirrors.

No,that’s not quite true, I LOVE mirrors and the tales that old ones tell. Bevelled glass with flaws, fade and foxing.

All the things they have seen writ in  secret reflection.

Use them as the Ancient Egyptians did, to bring light to dark spaces.

All for the French village house, three of twenty, maybe more….

You had me at Christina Rossetti, love her, and those mirrors are a real find! The cherubs round the crest shaped one; that’s my favorite.

Lovely. They will really bounce the light around. So much more interesting when they have a bevel. And an untold story, of course
